Ki-woo Kim (Choi Woo-Shik) can be a young man living in poverty within the slums of a nameless Southern region Korean city with his family - father Ki-taek Kim (Song Kang-ho), mother Chung-sook Kim (Jang Hye-jin), along with sister Ki-jung (Park So-dam). The family lives in a back garden unit where they fight finding a Wi-Fi signal for you to sneak into in order to get access to the Internet to watch TV, get fumigated on, and have to watch adult men urinating in the alley outside the house their home.
